A good season?
What are people's realistic predictions as to where we'll finish?
Where does it become a good season?
For me about 14th-15th is what I expect.
Top half an outside bet and will be a cracking outcome.
Getting through 2 or 3 rounds of either the League or FA Cup would be a bonus.

Avoiding relegation.
Top 10 would be a hell of an achievement.

Anywhere from 12th to 17th would be an achievement. Staying up should be routine

Since we appear to have made several good additions and have lost no-one I wanted to keep (surprised and delighted Kemp is still here) it is not unreasonable to hope we will do better than last year. A top half finish is 5-2 with BetVictor...good enough to tempt me. Other than that, I hope:
1. That Taye can nail down the number one spot, despite strong competition, and show us what a fine goalkeeper he surely is.
2. That Revs can find the hero inside Jake Young. I'm convinced there is an outstanding player in there somewhere.
3. That Jamie Reid winds the clock back to 23/24.
4. That we play with a little more adventure (three at the back anyone?), prepared to risk losing more often in order to win. If so....
5. That the football is exciting enough to drag me into the car and drive (a long way) to more matches rather than watching on a screen.

Agree, think we’ll finish bottom half but clear of any relegation battle.
Scoring was an issue last season I think we ended up 2nd worse in the league infront of Burton. Nothing in the off season has made me believe we’ll be any different this season in front of goal but I hope I’m wrong.

A good season is top 10. Last season where we finished was acceptable to good considering, but we should be aiming to push on this season.
The middle third is acceptable but not "good". Bottom third is a failure.

Relegation.
Anything better than relegation is good until we get a proper manager.

Not getting sucked into a relegation battle, but most importantly more entertaining football!
It was absolutely shite to watch in the most part last year.

Top half would be good.
Also, more goals than last year.

My hope/base expectation is to match last season in terms of staying safe but playing with more of an identity. The signings we’ve made in theory suggest that isn’t too much to expect.
What turns it into a good season is if we can do the above and have a tilt at qualifying for the play-offs. More than that and it would be a brilliant campaign.
A cup run or two wouldn’t go amiss either.
I’m cautiously optimistic. I want to want to attend our games every week. That wasn’t the case last season.

Either a top 8 finish with boring football or 13th/14th with more entertaining football than last season. Ideally with an FA Cup run to R3+ too.

Good season = comfortably staying out of relegation equation, while offering entertainment home and away
Great season = tilt at playoffs

We finished 14th so I reckon 13th would be a good season.

Anything above last year - higher position, more goals, more points etc. Anything that shows we’re improving.
