PW interview on Sky

Nothing earth-shattering but confirms a lot of what we already know as to why he appointed Revs and how players “will go to war” for him.

Also seems that player recruitment has been completely overhauled in the last few years starting with when Evans joined.

Sometimes having staff under you that you just click with, like and trust is more important than having someone who is brilliant at their job.

Stability is important. Revs maintaining a good relationship with Phil and with his players, delivers that.

Yes we could get a better manager (with the right money), but if Revs is trusted, happy to let Phil and Leon take care of some of the upstairs stuff on transfers and is capable of gradually improving us/keeping us in the league, maybe that's enough for Phil.

As long as it doesn't cloud his judgement should the need for change become apparent.

Agree fully Balders. "Better" managers do not automatically achieve better outcomes. All kinds of factors are important - cultural considerations etc. Also fair to say that a manager's stock is highly volatile!

Concerning that at (2:34) PW thinks we was in the top 2/3 in L1 at times last season.

Just wasn’t the case. That was the season before under Steve when we had a brilliant start first few games and went top of the league at Orient away.

No wonder Phil thinks Revs is doing a fantastic job if he think we was up there last season.

Yes let’s hope he leaves soon so we can get our club back. AFC monicker, craft beer, change ends at half time.

I liked his line about "thought I might have to plan for a new stadium". It's a nice pre-thought out humorous comment

He actually says last year not last season , not sure when they were top three, but technically he could be correct

9th December 2023 was last time we were top 3, so about right

Yep, that's definitely the takeaway from the two clips.

I noticed that but can’t say it really concerned me. He is after all 75? and I think the odd slip like that shouldn’t be a major surprise.

There's also a second video with PW on the link about players' wages and how Brum bought promotion - we are fortunate to have such a realistic Chairman.
