Law 12 – Fouls and Misconduct

A goalkeeper who controls the ball with their hand(s)/arm(s) for more than eight seconds will be penalised, with a corner kick being awarded to the other team

Should see more corners, which might see more attempts on goal.

And more importantly, should see less GK time wasting. Which is good for fans.

But only if the refs stick with it. It'll be like Ted Rogers on 3-2-1 doing the countdown (look it up kids).

There was already a rule 6 seconds ? Plus think a few seasons ago other so called new rules meaning 14 mins ET etc .Will be enforced for a few weeks then back to normal.
