Should be more than a handful in League 2 now he is fit and has a pre season.
Edit: I heard we get money for each goal he scores so the more the merrier.

On your second point heard of sell of sell on frees but never this only the player themselves getting goal bonuses but all good for us.

I don't know if it's true, just what I heard.
Usually based on appearances of team achievements.

I think he could have come good if he'd had a stretch of time where he was fit. Might be better with a proper pre-season. Oh well, guess we won't find out now

On Burton, are they a bigger club than us? It doesn’t feel like they are to me, despite them having played in the Championship for a bit.

From what I recall, Burton's owners are billionaires. They've also just sold a player to QPR for ÂŁ1m+.
Phil's not doing too badly that being said.

Not a dig at Phil at all.
We are lucky to have a shrewd owner with a few million in the bank, happy to subsidise the club as and when necessary to keep us competitive.

Completely agree, we're very lucky to have him considering some of the other owners of EFL clubs...

Yeah Kazak oil tycoons or something like it .That's the difference ,PW assume wealthy but not on same scale as this or the Wrexham's, Birmingham owners etc.
This not a criticism but a fact and just grateful we have people like PW and Dimsey etc involved with our club.

Kazakh oil tycoon is the Wycombe owner. The Burton owners are Scandinavian.

I've long seen it that we are aiming to be Burton (have a crack at the Championship and then get back in our box) not Yeovil (have a crack at it and crash). Neither are organically bigger clubs than us, but Championship/L1 have been getting harder over time due to parachute payments percolating down.

It's probably Peterborough. But you never know.
Although described as a forward in many places it also says he plays as a winger, which would be borne out by his goal stats. But then the way we play we wouldn't say no to another Roberts type front 3 player.

Does it though? Now we actually have wingers we'll only be using one striker

Don't think we think of our wingers in the traditional sense, more as wide forwards. Crossing from touchline is part of their role, as is joining the CF as play progresses up the other side of pitch. Pressing also

Didn't see the best of him here due to injuries. Good business making a profit on him though.
He'll be a handful in League 2.

But to add to that the injuries and our style of play did not help.

Injuries are just one of those things. Nothing much we can do about them impacting on his preparation and overall physical state beyond the usual physio and medical care.
Style of play however... we will have watched video, scouted and spoken to him a lot, so will have had a very good appreciation of his strengths, ability to adapt to our style as well as his favoured style of play.
So if our style of play didn't play to his strengths, that's entirely on our scouting, preparation and coaching.
I say if because I really don't know if Iit was his injuries or our style of play that made his his stay mediocre at best.

Re: Louis Appéré gone

He caused us no end of issues whenever we played against him prior to signing him. I was really pleased with the signing.
But through a collection of injuries, lack of a run of games (related to the injuries), and him looking low in form and confidence (again, probably related to the injuries and lack of games), he wasn't the player we saw previously and we hoped to sign.
This pre-season he has again looked low in sharpness and confidence. Two or three times against both Stortford and Swansea I can immediately think of where he would have been clean through on goal with a remotely decent first touch, but miscontrolled it, which allowed the defenders to get back, and with his lack of pace he then had to lay the ball off, by which time their whole defensive unit was back in position and the threat gone. And you could see the immediate frustration/disappointment in him.
Think this is one of those signings that made absolute sense for us, but just didn't work out, and with us now having better options it is best for all three parties that he goes there, where he can get a run of games and get his sharpness and confidence back. Am sure in L2 after some games he will look more like the player I have seen before. And he never looked like he was being lazy or shirking responsibility, it just wasn't coming off for him, so I wish him well.

Two pacy wide men and Reid through middle seems to be the hope/plan, maybe with a new target man CF as option

Based on today a big, target man style forward that came come off the bench and hold up the play would be good.
Not sure the players we have fit that criteria. I'm thinking like a better version of Simpson.
