I can answer that one, no we have not.
And I know who we were after, and would be amazed if we managed it. Fair play for the ambition though.

Wasn't he the Villa player that was trying to put off Jamie Reid when he was lining up for the penalty in the Cup game?

Because it was a private chat between me and Revs that he may not want repeating, and we may still be in discussions with said player's agent. Same as I haven't said what he said about Matheaus Roberts, Jordan Roberts or any other players discussed.
I haven't even told Sev who it is, not that he would know who they are anyway 😂

He apparently is playing tomorrow in a FA Free Agents side in Game against Newport,. Surely if so if we were interested he would be with us now, unless he wanted silly money.

Yeah there is a picture of a trialist talking to Mendez-Laing and they were teammates at Peterborough once upon a time so makes sense if it is him.
I was just wondering if that is the same name Chuds had heard.

He's been training with AFC Wimbledon and playing for some random Turkish club. 32 now so I don't think he's that unattainable if it is him.

Sometimes signing a player like this at his age, they’re after one last pay-cheque and aren’t committed enough and can disrupt squad harmony. So, whilst on paper he may appear to be a ‘marquee’ signing, it’s not always what’s wanted. Anyway, obviously the club will be very wary that this isn’t the case.

Can anyone cite a player who came back from the career graveyard that is Turkey and did something of note? Matt Derbyshire tore it up at Bradford aye?

What are your thoughts on the introduction of an independent football regulator?
It feels like there's been more of a focus on recruiting younger players (<25) than in previous windows. Is this all down to Revs and/or is it a wider part of the club player recruitment strategy?
Is the club going to launch Boro.AI to tap into this market?*

Phil, do you think the strength of the league is less than last season. From the outside it looks like we are investing a bit more this season with the signings coming in and perhaps giving it a good go this year. Is that what you're thinking?
And a follow up question to that. Is it a case for a club of our size to have a cycle of a couple of seasons consolidating and every so often when the time looks right, giving it a push in terms of promotion ambition and investment into the squad? Or does the budget and ambition stay the same each season subject to windfalls from sales etc)
