Yeah we talked about this earlier in week .I had no real problem with him other imo he was really a CB we on whole played in a midfield position.

IMO underrated while here. Big part of our results under Evans, when we looked like challenging for playoffs. Work rate, covering, athleticism - all important.

He'll be a super centre half in time.

I think dealing with Pep gave Evans a bit of a stiffy, just visible to him with mirrors aligned appropriately

I think they did one of their pro-licence courses together IIRC.

Other than that, the chances of Steve, even with his contact book, 'dealing with Pep' are smaller than Steve's salad drawer.

Whereas I think he was massively overrated (in the position he played whilst with us, at least) here, and people only thought he was good because he came from Man City.

Louis Thompson was/is better and should have started every game ahead of him.

Burns always looked to me like a bit of a nervous kid playing a man's game. Not strong or aggressive enough.

More confidence, which comes with experience, will eradicate those weaknesses, then we will see a player there. Becaise there is one if he's given time to develop.

Bit I didn't want him developing here as a loanee, we had better options, like LT, available much of the time.

Both parties would probably have benefitted more if he’d come back here last season also.

We’d have seen a player with undoubted potential and a year of experience in League One behind him and he’d have played more than he did at Hull.

Seems to be endemic that clubs loan players out then move them on at a pace faster than that at which they’re developing. Slightly different scenario with Saxon when he was here before but the Plymouth move must have hurt his development. Had he stayed here he could have been moving on to a Championship club this summer rather than re-signing for us for instance.

Agree but on your last para Cooper gone to Barnsley, same league but probably the so called bigger club thing and or they paying more such as loan fee or salary contribution.

With Cooper it was either a loan back to League One or QPR putting him in their first team. Wouldn’t have been against having him back but would be against shelling out serious money when we have a keeper who is just as good, if not better already on our books.

Appreciate club “partnerships,” aren’t as much of a thing these days and it’s all business but given Spurs youth team play games at our ground it rankled a bit with me to see two of their better prospects on loan at Leyton Orient last season, both of whom had very good seasons.

Definitely. By all accounts we make very decent money from hosting Spurs Academy matches, but we really should be pushing them for their top loanees (those who are going to be loaned out below the Championship anyway) rather than having people like Ken Aboh.

Could of course be that we aren't after them rather than them saying no to us.

Revs said we were in for Cooper again, and he wanted to come back to us, but Barnsley "blew us out of the water".
