On rumours note we are apparently interested in Michael Cheek , although a Comet article contradicts this.Surely he is too old and inexperienced at our level anyway

My presumption was that the journalist asked Revell about him because of the rumours and he confirmed we are not interested and haven't made any bids. So end of story there.
Is another story today though saying the next signing we are aiming for will make people stand up and listen.
Welcome Jamie Vardy.

He likened the signing of Houghton to that of Pidge three years ago, an early statement signing that made people look, and the type who makes it much easier to then sign other players who are considering joining that summer. Then said we are chasing more of those, and wants the next one to be a real statement signing.

My son's mate is a Plymouth fan and says they are really sorry to see him go. Top guy, apparently.

Aye, sounds like he is a top guy and top player.
Excited to see how it goes. On paper we have made some very good signings, and Revs continually talking about wide players is a massive relief about our potential style too!

The most interesting thing about the end of last season was the experiment with three at the back. We could have shipped a load in the first half hour at Bolton, but after that it worked really well. The signings so far suggest we are looking to play with wingbacks (and maybe two men up top within hailing distance of each other). I'm going to pretend Saturday didn't happen.

Amaziinly I would not be surprised if your last comment happened,.Sounds mad but he wants to play for fun, decent level still and might have had vibes from Godden and Newton
EDIT perhaps I am being my normal deluded self.

He's getting interest from the likes of Leeds and Rangers so I don't think we can compete there 🤣

Will be a ‘striker’ with one goal in 40 games instead of our usual acquisitions that have one in 60

I hear there’s a Nigerian Prince who wants to invest in us. He’s got billions, but needs us to send him £1000 first to release it.

Standard procedure. He needs to make sure our bank account is working. If anything we should applaud his due diligence.
