Wish him well and assume we got a reasonable fee plus perhaps sell on clause

All the best to him, has always seemed a decent lad and has a great family behind him too.

I would love to see a youngster make it through to our first team. Seems our model is to develop them and then sell them before that which is fair enough.
Hope he does well, and hope we got a good sell on clause

Mckee, Gorman, Kennedy, Wilmot, Iontton, Johnson, No.31 (Okinabaherie?), the jug eared twat who went to Birmingham and fell apart becaise he had a shit attitude and a hair trigger temper ... all made it into our first team and that's just off the top of my head.
Some did well with us, some didn't, some have gone on to do well, some haven't. But I think our success rate from the youngsters is OK given we are competing with London club academies for talent within a 30 mile radius.

Pretty sure we had a few in that season that we finished bottom in League One, Rohdell Gordon was another one from the youth who featured.

Club of our size will always look to profit from youngsters. Good luck son.

That profit might be bigger if we actually wait until they've done something in competitive football for us

If we did that we’d have sold Wilmot and nobody else. Even Kennedy who looked like he could be sold on ended up leaving on a free after staying here too long and eventually stinking up the joint.
Flog potential with the appropriate add ons if it is ever fulfilled I say.

Or they turn out to be McKee/Smith/that other useless midfielder who played loads of games and we get nothing for them.

That's a considerable risk though, given that most scholars from the academy don't make it in professional football.
I presume we'll be in the market for a GK now as backup/competition to Taye.

Do we get a journey man or loan on as no2 , or pursue Cooper still ?

Not sure really as there's pros and cons either way.
If Cooper does come back then Taye's likely going.
