Why should we bother attending these psf games?
I really can't see the point...they are little more than a kick about where players stretch their sunburnt legs!

I agree but only for the players to get match fit. Maybe nice to get a preview of any new players. As a spectacle, not for me.

Away PSFs are fun though.
A day out somewhere different in the sunshine with a couple of beers, catching up with people you haven't seen for a couple of months, at grounds that remind you of what our league matches used to be like and how far we have come, whilst casting half an eye on the new signings. Lovely job.
By all accounts we have Braintree again this season, which was very much the above last year. A reminder of the sorts of places we used to visit in the Conference (in terms of both the ground itself, and the town being a somewhat grim Essex town with interesting characters), played on a lovely sunny evening after a nice pub dinner (pulled mushroom chilli with parsley rice, yum!) and a couple of beers.

Maldon and Tiptree was a fun PSF a few years back, which was our compensation to them for taking Kevin Watson (was that his name?) as Teddy's assistant.
Was a classic PSF we used to have back then, similarly with Tonbridge and a few others. A pleasant location where you can take a half day at work and spend a lovely afternoon exploring the area before dinner and a couple drinks, then go to a new ground for the match before heading home. Stamford was the most similar one we have had in recent years, a lovely place to walk around and explore, with some great pubs.

If we were playing MK in a PSF in my garden I'm not sure I'd get off my arse to open the curtains.

I was told we were playing MK in a PSF a few weeks ago, but I was pretty sure it would be a BCD match at the training ground as didn't believe either side would bother opening the ground for it, so I am rather surprised by this.
But in terms of the fixture for our preparation, it is a pretty good one. They should do well this season and have a good manager in charge, so should be a nice test and warm up for us. That said, I won't be going to it though as it isn't remotely exciting, and the HSC final is that day, plus the Spartan South Midlands season also starts that day, so will be at one of those instead.
