3 Up Campaign

I totally agree with the Conf clubs . But I think one of main issues is EFL clubs losing their Academy status after a period , hence many a chairman unlikely to vote for change .There should therefore be a protected Academy status then for relegated EFL teams or a push to extend it to all Conf Prem clubs at least ?

It should be 3 up, 3 down on the condition that the National League align with EFL financial rules (although these also need modifying). Perhaps also a requirement for all NL clubs to be full-time (at Step 1, not Step 2).

Should keep it as it is.
The football league should be hard to get into. If York won the playoffs they wouldn’t be crying all over social media about what they perceive as unfairness.
Also if we change promotion in the national league further down the pyramid you’ll have clubs complaining and wanting 3 up in their leagues too.
The football pyramid is perfectly fine as it is. The best in the world. Don’t mess with it

Totally disagree what make you think if York had gone up automatically in 2nd place they would not ask not want a third promotion place, they might go down themselves again on future . Re lower down already 4 down and up to and from NLN/S .Sure if 3up/down to EFL they would not mind revising this eg 1 auto place from N/S then some sort of play off for the third between both leagues.
We cannot begrudge the current pleas given our views on this for all the yrs we were In the Conf imo.

York wouldn't have given it a second thought if they'd been promoted this season

Even if correct still not right, even though could possibly in time to come be better for us to stay as it is

Are you in favour of playoffs too?
How is it 'right' that a team finishing 6th gets promoted ahead of a team finishing 3rd?
What about relegation playoffs?
FWIW I think it should be the same number promoted/relegated out of every FA affiliated league, whether that is 1 place, 2 places or however many places, it should be the same from Premier League to Sunday League.
I also don't think there should be playoffs, at either end, i know they're 'exciting' but league standing should be definitive.

Same number promoted/relegated doesn't work with a regional pyramid system.

Hadn't thought of that.
Where you have 2+ feeder leagues you clearly need to have a bespoke system to identify the team(s) to go up.

Which is what we have.
The only anomalies are 4 down from league 1 and 2 down from league 2.
We should immediately start campaigning for 3 down for league 1 before conference get 3 up!

This would of course have meant that Boro would've gone down in 2020.
