Is that "good" different? This years home shirt was a bit too way out and I think resulted in less sales of it....!

Certainly seemed a lot of sizes still available at the end of the season in the sale compared to previous years.

We need a better club shop. A Boro megastore

You know this is Stevenage right? We're last to do everything throughout pre-season.

The thing that annoys me with the shirts is not only are we usually quite late in releasing what they look like compared to others, when they finally do show us, you still can't actually get them for another month!
I would prefer either release images early and give a future available date, or release details later but be available from that very day they release them. Not a mix of the worst of both worlds.
I'm sure there are reason behind it all.
Edit: to remove bit about season tickets đ¤Ł

I think we have this debate/moan every season.
It's economics for the manufacturers.
They prioritise shirt design and making for those clubs who will sell loads.
We won't.
Hence we get the August production run meaning shirts aren't available till about September.

Aye, but I'm sure you get smaller clubs than us with their shirts ready before us.

Don't care how long they take to announce it as obviously it should be traditional red and white stripes anyway đ

Too many other teams play in Red and White stripes, we need to be distinctive.

Why ,tradition count imo .Lots of teams play in mainly blue tops , why don't Everton change then for example to stripes to be distinctive

Town did wear red and white stripes which as you say Athletic carried on the tradition. Itâs always been a bit disappointing to me that Boro have mucked about with the shirts. There should be some constant theme (apart from the colour) which would be part of the clubâs history/identity. Obviously a new design is needed each season in order to sell the shirts but other clubs seem to manage this whilst still keeping stripes.

At least two of us agree, recognise times move but some of the new designs look more like cycling shirts.

Traditionally weâre not stripes.
Think weâve had about half stripes and half non stripes.

Because theyâre one of the sides synonymous with blue shirts. Weâre not synonymous with red and white stripes. Would be nice for us to have a âstand outâ shirt style. One that people look at and immediately think of Stevenage.

We should make the diagonal stripes our kit. I can't think of any other team in the EFL with white and red diagonal stripes. It would be good to be unique. The last home kit was a bit splodgy and abstract

Wrong ,Athletic wore red and white stripes, not sure about Town , So Boro in a sense carried this on to when they started playing around with various monstrosities such as last season's .

Itâs not wrong. Ask someone on the street outside of Stevenage to name a side who wear red and white stripes and youâll probably be well into double figures before our name is even mentioned.

Difference is when a lower team wears blue no one says is that Everton/Chelsea but when you wear red and white stripes they ask is that Sunderland/Southampton/Sheffield United/Stoke.
We aren't known outside of our own league and no one other than our fans would associate use with red and white stripes. We have now probably had as many non striped shirts as striped shirts. Red and White are our colours but we lost the connection to stripes, thankfully, as they look awful.
