EFL stickers/cards
Views: 492
EFL have announced Panini as the official trading card and sticker licensee.
Now I can't imagine they'll have all 72 teams, so wondering what the collection will look like. Could just be Championship Clubs. Or could be a few stickers for each club, such as shiny silver badge stickers. Which will be unfortunate given our badge.
If there are Stevenage stickers/cards to be collected then I'll probably start collecting. Never too old.

I limit myself to the World Cup every 4 years and get a shirt from the nation I complete first. So, for example, in 2022 I ended up with an Iran shirt with Panini 22 on the back.
This is very, very tempting though!

I read how much you'd need to spend, on average, to fill a Panini book once.
Better off buying one of those "build this stunning replica of the Tudor flagship the Mary Rose week by week. Get issue one for only 79p from your newsagent NOW!"

I'd say about £200 from doing the Russia World Cup one, as long as you do swaps.
I buy a box of 100 packs for about £70 and that gets you over half way there.

I remember the football cards in the little boxes of candy sticks. That's about as old as I get.
My favourite collection is the 1998 England World Cup coins /medals collection that Sainsbury's did.

Was it not euro 96, rather than World Cup 98?

Them World Cup coins were class. I had about 6 Tim Flowers’ at one point.
Beckham was the last one I needed to complete my collection. Took me ages to source one.

Sainsbury’s knew what they were doing. Browbeat my parents into shopping there until I’d completed the collection in 98 and 2002.
They also found my old Corinthian prostars in the loft recently. Remember one summer my Mum would buy me a powerpod on the way home each day from football summer camp. I got Michael Owen every day and the chocolate was absolutely grim. Good times.

I completed it, too long ago to remember how. The likeness of some of the players wasn't great 🤣
