Actually on that thought about first no as both him and Butler would want to be 1st choice LB but Saxon also a good LWB so if JFC departs an option .But what is his injury status got returned from loan due to this.

Freestone as emergency LB cover yes, proper cover for more than a game or two? Not good enough, as a LB or LWB.
As a CB he is good enough and I expect to see more of him next season as Pidge is getting on a bit now.
Happy that we have secured Butler though. A 7/10 player most weeks.

Smith and Luther could both play that side.
Freeman was a utility player.
Freestone could do it in an emergency.
We didn't need anymore fullbacks IMO.
Now with Freeman broken, (and Smith broken more often than not, and possibly not being here as a result) we need cover. Unless Bates is good enough (RB) and LJW can switch sides.
