I don’t think we should hit him with a golf club regardless of how he’s performed.

Colchester director of football, if they have one, must be on drugs. The bigger question is who gets to eat the packet of Fruit Pastilles we get in return from Colchester?

Only 22. Should be some good experience for him, hopefully he gets game time. I reckon there's a player in there and he's got some desirable attributes but any striker will struggle the way we play.

Agreed and as Simpson has gone on loan what about Reid?
Simpson showed more in his cameo appearances than Reid has done lately. If nothing else Simpson sure did try!
I would like to see him back again with more experience. Along the same lines as Sev, there is a striker in there somewhere.

if he starts banging in the goals for Colchester then maybe we should
start looking at our own team and manager ?

If he starts banging in the goals I'll eat Chuds' Outrageous Optimism hat. Not that we shouldn't be looking at our manager of course.
