A striker (already signed one apparently) and a genuine winger hopefully.
I imagine Pressley will go out on loan and Aboh to be recalled

Our shot conversion rate is as much of an issue as creating opportunities, so I would argue the right player could make a difference.

Agree. Again Rovers was a class example. We had numerous balls in behind and always we're offside or running ourself into a dead position to back pass into midfield.

Revs has said so the past few interviews. JFC is too, and Appere, although he isn't quite as near a return to match action.

With people coming back into contention, where do people feel like we need improvement the most in Jan? For me I could see us doing with another body in midfield and a ideally another wide player (aside from the Murphy GK situation).
We've seen the impact Louis T has and we really miss him when he's not there. Phillips is class but we tend to feel a bit lightweight, particularly going forwards, when Louis isn't there.
A wide player is more a quality improvement rather than lack of bodies. List/Roberts & Young I'm generally happy with but I'd like to see a dedicated winger and not a converted forward in a wide position. Not convinced it fits the Rev's strategy but I think it would give us an option of something different.
You could make an argument for a striker as well but I'm not convinced our goal issues are down to the quality up front but more the quality of chances being created for the front man.

A left full back to challenge Butler. Freestone isn't a fullback.

Louis is very good on his day but I sometimes feel that he doesn't know what he's about to do next any better than the opposition do. I feel him and White has the makings of an excellent partnership but White is taking tidy passing to extremes.

Harvey's a natural striker of the ball*, with a good range of passing. He should be brave and use it more!
(*Can't stress how hard it is to clip a dead ball like Harvey. Some frustration in ET the last couple of games as balls drifted to GK or behind... Have faith, lad'll get it right soon enough!)

I am informed we are bringing in Will Goodwin on loan from Oxford.
There has been a worry around the club for a few weeks that Cooper may be recalled. Would be a big shame, but if it does happen we have a seriously good replacement already here. Wycombe may not have gone well, but look the performances Taye put in across the previous two seasons, not a one-off when he hadn't played for ages, he will be absolutely fine should it happen.

Think he was only intended to be cover while Taye was out injured early doors. Has performed very well and then kept Taye out since.
Would be a shame if he is recalled but Taye is a great keeper and he’s ours. Just needs a run of games to get match sharp again.

Sure it is season long , doubt they would recall him though.Bragbury told me a few weeks back he thinks QPR have money issues and are looking to offload players If so perhaps they might let him go on a free just to save wages, but can we afford them now budget wise ?assuming QPR paying them at mo as part of loan agreement.

The danger is that others have seen how good he is. Cheque books may be waved.
Taye has had a tough time of it this season and is clearly lacking in confidence but we know how talented he is.
Hopefully that penalty save against Wycombe will have given him a boost.

Possible with the Spurs connection or I could just be wrongly amd putting 2 and 2 together.,,Also perhaps they want him to be a a so called bigger club ? Per wiki he played 20 times for Oxford but assume then lots were sub appearance.
