If everyone else boycotts the FA Cup, I reckon we should stay in and actually have a chance of progressing in it. For banter.

Agreed. More chance of drawing a big club if we are the only EFL side in it.

Yet again the big premier league teams ruining a cup competition. First with the introduction of under 21 teams in the EFL BTeamBoycott Papa Johns Bristol Car Trophy and now the FA Cup because these big clubs can?t possibly play 2 games a week!
Wont be long until they get their ultimate wish and have B teams in the football league.

Re: Good statement from Tranmere

Tranmere Rovers condemn the disgraceful decision taken by The FA and the Premier League to change the format of the FA Cup, including the scrapping of replays.
There was no consultation with Football League clubs, National League clubs or grassroots clubs to whom the competition represents not only their best opportunity to create life-long memories for supporters but also a hugely important source of income. We also understand that FA Council members were not consulted about the changes.
The decision, and the way it was taken, demonstrate a total lack of respect for the football pyramid and its fans. Football belongs to all of us and decisions should not be taken in back room deals in which only the very wealthiest clubs are allowed to participate. It is yet another eloquent example of the 19th-century governance that means that football simply cannot regulate itself and needs the Independent Football Regulator to have real teeth.
We condemn the changes wholeheartedly and urge The FA to suspend them immediately until all stakeholders in the game are properly consulted.

The ultimate aim of them is only to have only s PL and based on a franchise model imo, lower leagues are annoyance to them
EDIT The PL teams mostly play second string in ties anyway so what's the issue.

So many bad decisions they've made in the last ten years.

Bullshit decision.
If you?re getting rid of replays then I think any team who can?t win in 90 mins should be knocked out of the cup.

The independent regulator should veto the changes. Otherwise what is the point of it...
If this is allowed to stand, PL clubs should be banned from extensive overseas pre-season tours if they complain about fixture congestion.

They agreed it now precisely because a regulator is on the horizon and would insist on full consultation with all clubs affected.
Disgraceful.
There should be a boycott from clubs who weren't consulted.

They've agreed it now because UEFA have imposed 2 extra group stage games for all their club competitions for next season, 8 instead of the current 6, meaning the Premier league teams aren't available for the replays

So because 5-6 clubs might have an extra game, hundreds of clubs potentially suffer.
Great.

7-8 clubs, but yes, the point still stands. Over 700 enter the cup every season.
(Although you can tell by the TV selections it's those 7-8 clubs who drive the ratings and revenues for the competition)

The new schedule ensures the magic of the Cup is protected and enhanced
By doing away with replays? That's three-quarters of the magic of the FA Cup ffs! NOT fit for purpose - why should EUFA games destroy a domestic cup competition that is older than half of Europe?
Tossers, the lot of them.

The FA Cup final is also going to be played on a weekend with Premier league games on, and the final round of the Premier league will be on the end of May BH play off final weekend by the looks of it. Doesn't sound much like protecting the competition or lower leagues either

The Premier League can take their £33 million, which is less than half what Man United pay for a player off FIFA that'll get fed up and fly home after five games, and shove it up their arse.
