Played well first half, silly pen given away at a bad time.
I don?t think TVC is fully fit.
We need someone left midfield that helps protect Butler.
Didn?t feel as sick as I did at Derby.

Re: 3-0

The left side is an issue and has been all season, but think we play so narrow anyway it doesn't have to be someone left footed with our current tactics. This won't be a popular opinion but I prefer White to JFC.

Left side doesn't need to be an issue, Guinness-Walker has added a bright spark the past two matches coming off the bench.
Hoping he starts at the weekend to properly see what he can do.

In order of preference a midfield four with him and Freeman either side or a back three with him at LWB to rest Butler. We have been reluctant to use either of those formations this season though. Under no circumstances would I want him LB in a four unless we're chasing a point late on.

We still don't know our best midfield do we.
We change its shape and its people. Overall it hasn't done us any harm but most clubs tend to have a favoured pairing at 6/8 in old money at least.

34p in new money haha.
Joking aside...although we didn't get the win or at least a draw, the boys played their hearts out. Never gave up and in my mind very worthy of our 6th spot. Of course, Peterborough looked good at times but we had most of the play and our closing down was impeccable.
Watch out Orient they will feel the backlash of what I thought was a very goid performance. COYB!!

Indeed. When he came on as sub at Cheltenham and scored two I naively assumed he was heading back to full function and goal-machine status would soon be restored. But sadly not.
Edit: And I?m not sure I?m seeing the Oliver benefits either.

Re: 3-0

I mentioned it back in the Jan window. Of the 5 Oliver and Hemmings very similar but neither have had the most prolific of careers and with the late header from Hemmings last night you can probably see why.
You can have one journey man type and every squad needs them but essentially we have 3 and a youngster who dosnt seem to fit.
List needs a change of scenery, league 2 or somewhere he?s going to get games we won?t get that while Reid is here and fit
Pressley looked as good as if not better Hemmings and Oliver but for one reason or another dosnt get the game time. Maybe there is a master plan as he?s young but decision needs to be made so we cash in or stick with and hope he comes good.
Either way I think we need to get rid of 3 of the 5 in the summer and try to find a long term talent, don?t think we will have the cash for a proven cf who will get us 10/15 plus in league 1.
We are not very open when it comes to contracts so also not sure of those who dosnt have a contract into next season. I assume Reid does otherwise there would have been a few more sniffing round in Jan. Same with TVC, LJW, Pidge and Roberts

We are so lucky that Reid has kicked on. We can't afford the type of player you mention so they have to come from luck / magic! Without his goals we'd be having to win / catch up in a very very ugly fashion.

Oliver isn't up to this level. We all knew that when he signed. He'll work for the team, but isn't good enough.
So frustrating what injuries can do to a player. List was unstoppable at times before the ACL. That blistering pace has gone and so has the confidence that gave him that clinical edge in front of goal. Think he knows he isn't the player he was.

Oliver last night reminded me of the proverbial dog who catches up with the car, he was winning his battles but what for? That's not on him individually, you saw it all the time with Peter Crouch for example - teams that select a bloke to win headers with no idea what comes after it.

No way he thought I'm going to smash him in the face that'll be a good idea.
He was jostling and defenders do it, where it pushes the attacker on the back foot and gives the defender something to bounce off so you've gained a 3 yard advantage on the attacker.
Somehow he massively misjudged it and hit him in the face, which makes no difference as it's still a red, but I certainly don't think he meant to hit his face.
