IF we go up

If we went up is there any scope for increasing capacity temporarily. We have had loads of teams selling out the away end this season we could be making loads more money if we can get more away fans in.

Instead of expanding, maybe we can get the safety certificate for the North that allows us to actually use all the seats?

That would need some twat to not run on the pitch against Bradford, and a bunch of people to not lob stuff into the away end against Cambridge, when we are being heavily assessed.

They were both from the East Terrace. Surely if that had any bearing they'd reduce the capacity of the East Terrace and let the North be full capacity

They assess the entire ground, not just the Norf Stand.
Bradford is the exact reason we didn't get the final sign-off originally.
Edit: I am not involved in the SAG and don't make the decisions, but that is why we are currently still at 90% in the Norf. And each incident during a large crowd makes it even more difficult to gain full capacity allowance.

It doesn't really make any sense that. When a Spurs fan tried to twat Ramsdale, they didn't get docked 5,000 fans for a year.

They already have the certificate, we are trying to gain it by proving we can handle large crowds without issue, which we are not doing because our fans are letting us down.

It just seems to imply that the certificate has some sort of magical crowd control properties that cannot be summoned if we get the incantation wrong.

If the table stays as it is or thereabouts for the next 9 games, the game v Oxford away is going to be huge.
Our old rivalry from the conference days rekindled.
Dare say we will take a bit more than 86 if the playoffs are riding on it.

I'm sure there'd be ways to do it. Luton managed to rebuild a whole stand in under 3 months to comply with PL standards.
There's also temporary seating/stands used at some venues (particularly cricket), though not sure how this would hold up in the winter months.

There's a huge one at Old Trafford cricket ground which scares the crap out of me when you walk under it to get to other stands. Never going in that.

Old Trafford cricket ground is just about the ugliest professional sports ground I've ever been in, although Sincil Bank and Oldham when it only had three sides are strong contenders.

OT cricket ground is a bit of a minger, but me and my lad had a great view from roughly fine leg in the little double decker stand. AND it was £45 for me and a tenner for him. Proper good northern prices.

I actually saw England win in time to go for a few down the pub before I needed to get the train so I didn't moan too much.

The Kirkstall Bridge Inn, a fine pub which will probably be permanently underwater in a decade.

Agree that Lancashire CCC have ruined Old Trafford (cricket) with the renovation, especially the Pavilion.

It's quite a long way to BHS but I guess it's a large building doing nothing and it's near the train railway station
