I'm in the West Stand tonight for the first time in in probably about 15 years.

Is there food like in the East / North? No idea what the options are like these days.

Had some chips, and the tea bar even had oat milk. Smiles all round.

Yes, there's a hut right at the south end by the away fans and a mobile van like the one behind the east terrace out through one of the tunnels towards the south end, near where the club shop is. The small tea bar at the North end has been closed I think (certainly was for Blackpool on 3rd Feb)

And now houses the electrical equipment required since our floodlight failure last time out against Cambridge. It also had a man in Hi-Vis standing by it before the last home game. Seems we did some upgrade work but kept it very quiet. Dont tell any Cambridge fans, it will send them nuts.

Presume it's got a fucking huge generator in it.

Although the uninterrupted power supply at my last workplace was the size of two ISO-containers.

Maybe there is a bunker under it?

The huge-ass new generator is by the car park near the hospitality entrance to the main stand.

Yeah, they've had extra temporary generators in the car park since the original Cambridge game and a bloke getting paid a grand sum to sit in a van next to it just in case.

Power upgrade is due to happen this week so I'm told

We put £2 in the meter this time - not £1

On the subject of food, I was in the West tonight - stand, that is, not Cornwall - and discovered a new food offering: a van selling pulled pork. I partook of a pulled pork roll with coleslaw and bbq sauce. Nice enough, but a tad steep at £7 I thought.

A reflection on the state of things these days but £7 for a pulled pork roll is probably pretty reasonable in comparison.

Was stung £13 for a (admittedly delicious) rosemary lamb roll at Saracens earlier this season and roughly the same for a tepid duck wrap at the Knebworth Christmas fair.

Lords charged about 10 quid for a pork roll and it was dry and horrible.
