That feels like a really big result, especially with Barnsley, Oxford and Blackpool all dropping points.

We started really well apart from conceding a stupid goal, gradually dropped off and after an hour it felt like another away game at a big stadium that we'd allowed to get away from us, Wigan swanning around with us struggling to lay a glove on them.
Then Steve made the changes and we grew back into it, eventually scoring two good goals and feeling well deserved winners at FT.
To come from behind twice to win at a team who'd conceded once in six home league games, without being at our best, is what you live for.

Yep, seven clean sheets in their past ten home games, winning seven of them.
"Can see either side winning by a single goal, but there won't be many goals in the game" said this guy beforehand.
Sometimes I can be wrong. What an odd feeling.

After 5 mins I said this game has the makings of a 3-3. Luckily it wasn't quite that! Not sure how they've kept so many clean sheets, they didn't look great at the back.

Yeah, it didn't take long for me to change my mind. They looked vulnerable every time we attacked, which is mental for their defensive and their home record (fourth best in the league), and we looked vulnerable today too, not helped by dropping Taye and upsetting the defensive unit again for some inexplicable reason.

Other teams probably don't get up 'em like we did. They couldn't handle any balls in the air and weren't strong enough with the knock downs. Looked dodgy when put under pressure/pressed.

Same with Bolton. Bet a lot of sides go to both setting up to defend (Bolton fans were incredibly complimentary about us after that game), whereas we went at both and scored five times.

Nah, he was good, gave them plenty of fouls when they were but didn't fool for any fuckwittery.
Gave us fouls when they were. Decided to yellow card every one of our fouls though in second half, probably because Evans had words at half time.

I didn't think either tackle was a foul, let alone a booking, for Burns and Pidge, but apparently he massively favoured us ?

we certainly got most of the 50/50 and probably most 60/40 decisions in my opinion. as i said on another post if we had been Wigan there would have been another "ref lost us the game" thread
having said that i dont think he cost Wigan the game

Probably one of the few teams we've played where the refs decisions have gone in our favour over the two games. Didn't think he was extremely their way, just gave a lot of freekicks! As Chuds said, pleased he didn't buy into their diving.

I don't take pleasure in it, he just shouldn't be playing. It's not fair on him as he's clearly not fit or out of his depth.
I don't like dropping points or conceding goals and not learning lessons from it. That's the difference.

only reason Sweeney is picked is that Thompson is suspended
must have been a reason why Sweeney was released by FGR when we got promoted into L1
