With 18 games now comepleted, what's your opinion on the following questions,
Our best summer signing so far?
Worse signing so far ?
Most improved player this season compared to last season?
Who would you not be bothered about going out on loan in January ?
Would you sign any players in January if need be, if yes what position?

Best signing: Dan Butler. He's not necessarily our best player, but given how hit-or-miss our left backs have been since Laird, it's nice to have one who's competent.
Worst signing: Reece Hannam. Has looked terrible every time he's played.
Most improved: Carl Piergianni. Reid seems the obvious pick here, but in my opinion, Reid hasn't improved, the football around him has. He's always been a good player capable of being a consistent goalscorer, but he's always been feeding off shit service. Now he's getting better service, we are just seeing what he's always been capable of. So I'm going with Pidge. His ability to step out and win the ball is exceptional, and always has been, but his distribution has considerably improved this season. He's no longer just a ball-winning centre half.
Out on loan: I don't really have an answer for this. I'd rather we didn't ship List out because I think he'd be good with a solid run of games.
New Signings: I think we need a holding midfielder. TVC and Burns aren't it. If we are playing a centre half in midfield then it doesn't say much for our other midfield options. I really think our ability to control the midfield will be vastly improved with a specialist defensive midfielder (and a more balanced midfield).
I think this is the most well-rounded team I can remember. The first 14-15 players are all very capable and there are no players playing regularly that leave you scratching your head. I worry about our depth, but as long as we can keep the majority fit, we stand a great chance of getting promoted.

The number of times I've seen Pidge play the ball short this season (greater than zero) makes me think he was being instructed not to before that

Our best summer signing so far? I know he played for us last season but it has got to be Taye as a permanent signing
Worse signing so far ? Harry Anderson only because he has not been able to feature so far this season
Most improved player this season compared to last season? BGR has stepped up year on year since he has joined us. He has moved to another level this season with his goals and as we know goals win games
Who would you not be bothered about going out on loan in January ? Elliot List and I would say Harvey White as well even if he dropped a division to get more game time to toughen him up and make him ready for next season
Would you sign any players in January if need be, if yes what position? We need a back up left back if anything happens to Butler and he is either injured or suspended. If a club come in for BGR with a silly amount of money which Big Phil could not turn down then a replacement for him, who it would be I don’t know but then again I am not paid big bucks to be a scout

Taye now has 19 clean sheets (in 40 games!) for us in the EFL.
Only Daisy has more.

Since I've started to follow Boro from 1995, I think the best keepers we've had,
Lionel Perez
Alan Julian
Chris Day
TAH
If I had to break that down to the best, 2 TAH would be one of them.

Alan Julian was probably the best reaction keeper, the rest of his game wasn't so good.

In terms of permanent keepers, I always felt most confident with these three, in terms of reliability. Everyone else always worried had a mistake in them.
Chris Day
Chris Taylor
TAH
Jamie Cummings was a good loan keeper.

Most improved, between JFC and Reid. Reid was good last season but has stepped it up a notch further this season. JFC wasn't really at his best last season but now showing what he's got.
Best signing, not really sure, no one has stood out above others.
Worst signing, which is nothing against him or his abilities, but I'd say Hegyi because we didn't need another number 1 and it's created a bit of uncertainty.
Sign a backup left back in January maybe, and if we decide to let any go then simply to replace them.
Out on loan maybe List if he's not going to be playing for us, but we'll probably need him when we sell Reid.
