Ok so I may be getting ahead of myself but with the bookies all having him as odds on at least and the Rotherham fans saying it will be done shortly.

Just say it was to happen who do we think will replace SE at the helm?

Hughes finished behind us with a much bigger budget; ergo if he had a much smaller budget than teams in League One, he would finish above them.

As someone who knows nothing about betting markets, what do they know? Surely it's just some people sitting in a room, having a chat about it, and making up a price?

At our level (Rovrum are bigger/higher of course, but still very little interest or money to be matched), very little.

They have a stock of managers to make up the market, based on which division the club is in, then add in some currently out of work guys, then those with a connection to the club, and then anybody discussed on social media. And as that person is discussed more, so more people close to the club believe they know it will be them and bet on them, the shorter the bookies make the odds on them to limit their liabilities, and in turn people think it means they are going to be manager, and the cycle continues.

Us for instance, Gary Smith wasn't even in the betting markets for the majority of the time before being announced, and I backed Maamria at 10/1 to be our manager before he was announced. Plus me, Polio and Sev picked somebody (Martin Keown I think from memory) to start spreading rumours about and soon enough he was in at about fifth favourite to be our manager with the bookies!

Revs spent a few seasons up there.

The comet saying he knows nothing and nor does Hunter or Wallace. Joys of having success with the budget we have, we will always be poached. Plus we know SE loves an old player or 7 so if this went through I don’t think it would stop with Revs and Raynor I’d imagine a couple of players may follow

The comp would be significant I imagine, given he recently signed a new contract.
I have a feeling the fit isn't quite right in any case. If he goes there and they don't stay up does he keep his job?
How many times do you want to start all over again at that end of your career? The geography works for his lifestyle at Stevenage, and he probably has a job for as long as he wants one.
