Now I’ve slept on it.

I didn’t want to comment on the match yesterday evening in case I said something hot headed. Now I’ve slept on it I feel calm enough to put in my view.
Tizzers has seen first hand how bad we really are. Everything wrong was there out in the open. Shame it was a cup match. He must have been up to the early hours working out where to start on our epic shake up and rebuild.
I won’t comment on individual players, I never do. It was a team effort to play that bad. Andrade certainly stands out as one who constantly failed to produce any resemblance of a football skill.
Good luck Tizzers in your uphill battle. I’m sure a manager of your experience can spot the players that need to develop a spine.

Edit. I have no respect for any of our players.

Trouble is really he is out only "winger" but do not think he will start tomorrow. But I would for Midfield at moment try say- Barry, Read , Taylor & Lines .Or even Jack Smith for one if the first 3 ? Yes clutching at straws.

Chatting to my dad who has been watching footy for 70+ years and he said he enjoyed it, thought it was well fought by both teams and thought we were the better team and were unlucky.

He's an idiot.

Who’s having a go at your old man? Not wanting to go too Boycie about it all, but I’ve enjoyed the way the majority of people reacted to yesterday.

I can see why a neutral might think that was an adequate game of football. Natives on here are restless because, as a few have pointed out, the class of 2009-12 would’ve turned that round by showing some bollocks. They’re all technically ok. One or two posters have claimed that means things will turn out for the best.... I mean Bruno Android’s got technique. Can someone insert a fucking working heart into him? I doubt it.

The class of 2009-2012 actually didn't win from behind very often, instead they took the lead and just didn't lose.

Where as this team goes behind almost every fucking game.

That is a accurate view of the game in my opinion, but having watched numerous similar games you realise it's not unlucky that we lost, it's systematic.

When I talk about lack of effort and passion, it's not that I'm saying their attitudes are bad, and I think they believe they are giving 100%, it's just the way we play as a team there is a lack of urgency and intent in the set up.

I think with a new manager and approach a lot could change, and am looking forward to that.

It is indeed systematic. The pattern is we don't score goals and consequently don't win football matches.
Two cup ties in five days. Two blanks. Two exits.
As a group the players don't gamble often enough (unless you count passing it around at the back). We don't get bodies in the box; we do the easy thing too often in the final third.
In the heady days a decade ago we defended as a team and we attacked as a team. As a consequence, goals came from all over the park (except right back).
That's the way of playing we have to recapture. Good luck with this lot, Tis.

the main points on our team this season

Attacking

If you took List out of the equation, who is going to score the goals, or even better created any goals

Defending

We have at least one or two mistakes in a game regularly, and how many goals have we conceded when our players slip over at an important time. In the last few games we have had Wilding, TVC and on saturday Melbourne

dont they weere proper studded football boots rather than these slippers with astro turf studs on them

I really thought there was something there with Reid, but it would take a miracle at this stage and telling that he had a monster season in the National League South.

Reid has shown flashes, but that's what you're likely to get when recruiting from the lower leagues. If he was consistently good he'd be playing at a higher level.

My main concern is when List goes, who is going to score any of our goals. We don't create loads and have relied on his ability a lot this season. There must be bigger clubs circling in January

I'd like to think we'll offer List a bigger and longer contract very soon to ensure if he goes, it's for big money.

Whether he will accept it is another matter.

He’s already tied down until the end of next season I believe? Might help us keep him come January at least, then we’ll probably cash in in the summer.
