Season Ticket Protest

I managed to hold out for 2 days (mainly because I was on holiday) and have to admit I have now crumbled and ordered a shiny new one for the East Terrace.

Imagine the interest the club would have earned for those two days you held out - you stuck it to the man.

On a serious point - the season tickets aren't terribly priced are they? I mean, it still works out a saving on £15 per game on the turnstile. Surely you would just switch to paying on the turnstile if you were going to miss more than 3 or 4 (or however the maths works out). Something had to give trying to get more walk-ups to come and it has meant freezing ticket prices even though the match price has gone down - the club has to try something without taking too much of a hit, margins are tight.

There are not many things that stay the same price. I think it is good value. I mean the day doesn't stop after you have left the game - I get to make a complete arse of myself on Borochat and Twitter after every game too.

I'm still getting the three STs for my girls and I.
Good to have first bags on FA cup tickets if we happen to get a good draw.

Prices are still good for the East and I would buy one if I didn't suspect some deal when the North is complete.

I'm waiting for the fixtures to see how many midweek games at home we have that I'll miss and how many before the lilely completion date of the North.

10 games in the ET for £15 a piece then a £99 half season ticket in the North would suit me fine as I want to try the North.

If they came out and said there won't be any deals in the North I'd buy an east terrace season ticket right now.

There won't be any deals in the North .I don't see us making much progress on the 'Gaz Murray Stand' this side of Christmas . Be too hot for the construction workers soon / then it will be too wet / then it will be too cold. It will probably be ready for the final game of the Season when we parade the League Winners trophy

Guess it'll depend on Terry and his mate Andrzej's work load. They've got a few kitchens to install first I think but should get started in June.

They should've just kept the old north stand and none of this would've happened.

Phil is thinking of de-scoping the stand due to the delays, he's been visiting Teversal to see their innovative solutions...

haha - lovely job - that old wooden stand looks like a Stagecoach just hitch up 4 horses in front of it

68 fans so similar size to us really - I like the idea of a using part of Broadhall Way as a tesco trolley park - could get somebody to wheel me down from the Peartree on a Saturday

Margins used to be tight.

Phil's now got eleventy million quid burning a hole in his pocket

Tight bastard should be letting everyone in for a quid and laying on a free finger buffet at half time every game.

And I agree entirely.

Phil doesn't need to entice the loyal regulars. We'll keep coming anyway.

With tight margins he has to focus on attracting newbies and turning occassionals into regulars.

I described it as Heroin economics on Twitter.

Get people interested with cheap deals they don't need to plan and buy in advance, hopefully get some repeat business, get them hooked, keep them happy for a bit till they see a football fix as normal Saturday behaviour, a fixture in their psyche, then up the price once you've got them.

Some will kick the habit. Many won't.

As I understand it matchday walk-up prices have been cut and Season ticket prices are still cheaper than buying the new lowered matchday ticket every game?

Can’t really start selling tickets for a new stand that has unfortunately been delayed and doesn’t have a firm completion date. (A new stand in a ground owned by the council, so actually increasing the value of a public asset.)

All this on gates of 2,600, what have the Romans ever done for us?
