It’s probably a load of old balls, but that’s a hell of a salary considering we’ve only got the money to put a bunch of 18 year olds in the team.

As suspected, Luton tried to buy the league title and still couldn't manage it.

They got a trophy for finishing second and had an open top bus parade in celebration of being the best team in the league with the greatest manager they've ever had.

Hmmm.

Whilst we will have aged senior players on reasonable money, probably above that amount, the bulk will be on a far lower basic I'd imagine. Let's say we have 3-4 on £2k a week, that leaves the other 18 or so in the first team squad floating between £600 and a grand.

Not that unrealistic. But then I have no clue what a decent League two player should be earning, not what a first/second year pro like McKee could demand to sign his contract. Is a big name like Revell paid £1k a week or £3k a week? Not a clue.

I'd imagine most of the detail would be confidential and certainly not available to all and sundry to publish on a website. I'd also imagine the bonus structure, appearances, clean sheets, goals, league position, win percentages etc is extremely complex and varies hugely from player to player and club to club.

To sum up. It's probably a load of best guess bollocks.

It would have more credibility if it stated how they calculated the figures or the source of information.

For example you could use the wages figures in the company accounts and divide it by number of players, but that wages figure would include all staff employed not just players.

You could survey the clubs or players and hope they repsond.

Perhaps there's a requirement to disclose this information under financial fair play to certain authorities?

Cambridge's is clearly wrong for a start :)

So QPR fans are the highest paid? wonder why that is?

I kinda get the Arsenal (Lefty Luvvies - bit like yourself - from Islington ) and Millwall (City)
