My team tomorrow

King - defence has been better with him between the sticks.

Henry - played at that shithole of a place many a time so his experience will be helpful
King and Wilmot - great partnership forming.
Van Cooten - not a left back but the best option

Goddard - Kennedy has been poor recently.
Bowditch - a bit of experience in the middle
Amos - a bit of youthful drive. McKee needs a rest.
Sheaf - probably not his position but when has that ever mattered

Godden - feed off the big man
Revell - on Accrington's pitch we will need to play some long ball.

Can't see anything but a 1 nil win.

I like your 4-4-2. It would give us a better chance.

Has that midfield spent enough time together yet, as one of them has to instigate the drinks break?

Godden has been on drinks break duty when Pett hasn’t been playing.

Although I don’t remember there being a drinks break on Tuesday.

Didn't Kennedy go down on 43 minutes?

I'm sure they'll have been working on telling the time in training so that Ben knows when to flop.

"Now when both the hands on the round thing up there are pointing straight towards the away fans... I know they don't look like hands Ben, no we can't put white bloody gloves on them.... Why not? ... Because some bloke Dave broke the ladder trying to change the fixture board to keep some old git called Boycie happy that's why....

Anyway when the hands are both pointing that way, that's when you sit down and rub your right instep, no Ben your other right... No not those, those are testicles Ben, your inste...your foot. Then you get a drink of the nice squash

And don't grin like that, can you grimace... grimace... A pretend hurty face... nope, that's still a cheeky grin"

Glenn... GLENN! How's Matt getting on, using Ben isn't going to work"

I'm sure if I work hard enough one day I can be told not to bother submitting another piece by a local paper.

One has to have ambition.

I can’t see an entirely new midfield at Accy. I’d be very surprised if Smith does not play. I’d quite like us to move away from A 3 to 4 in midfield.

Does football ever really have 3 or 4 in midfield? Shirley the point is to to set up and exploit what the oppo do. Arguing about formations seems pointless

Yes, it does. Surely you have to have a base formation to work from either with or without the ball, player movement is what exploits the opposition. We’ve struggled with this lately and not having a left sided player available has been a contributor to that.

Don't ask difficult questions. It's not the fans job to know these things. Fans are simply there to point out how we would have won if we did what they said.

You are correct it’s not my job to scout the opposition, but having attended a match I will offer an observation as to what we could have done differently. Believe it or not, it can make for interesting debate. I could of course take the view that Sarll has some coaching badges and therefore knows everything there is to know, and as a non badge holding paying member of the public I should not offer an opinion because it can in no way be valid. Only fans such as Agent Eves or other who can prove their coaching history should be allowed to post on here.

I did a one day coaching badge (McDonalds did them free for school team volunteers way back).

It was shit. Basically it told me to clap and encourage the kids to spread out a bit, trap a ball, pass to feet and ironically not to eat shit foods

But it qualifies me to post right?

Edit: Sod posting, probably qualifies me to manage the first team

I have done the same for around 35 years, and read several books on the subject, so I’m quite well qualified too.
