youth match tomorrow

By Bragbury10610/1 19:57Wed Jan 10 19:57:55 2018

should be a good match tomorrow looking forward in going, we have at the club some decent young players
who well may be picked up by other clubs before even making our first team but thats football.
it would do the youth team a boost if we get a decent crowd tomorrow against middlesbrough 7.00pm kick-off.

also does anyone know if the clubhouse is open and at what time tomorrow, thanks

Entertaining, nicely competitive, if not high quality.

They scored from their only real attacks in the first half.

And we had several half chances that we didn't convert, and at the very death a certain goal blacked on the line if it had been a yard to either side. Unlucky lads, hope you all go far.

Missed the first 15 mins. Looked worrying for a while after they made it 2-0 and looked very comfortable. Once we made it 2-1 it was a very even match, with it not being apparent which was the higher class side. In fact we probably had the better of it and you could argue deserved ET.

We battled well and can be proud of the efforts, and very proud of yet another impressive run in the competition as we seem to enjoy most seasons. There are some very decent players in the set up. Georgiou obviously, as well as #5 & 11 impressing.

There were some tremendous crosses put in by us throughout the game as well, both from open play and set-pieces, particularly from our left. The first team should take note of how to whip a ball into a dangerous area rather than floating it beyond the back post all the time.

A good crowd to support them tonight too, the main stand was impressively busy and by all accounts the queues just before kickoff were pretty large.

Well done on the run lads.

good night last night best 5£ spent for a long time.both teams had some talent which i am sure some will make the grade
i think the stevenage youth team can hold there heads up high today and done the club proud against a handy middlesbrough youth team.lets hope hope a few more players make the first team during the rest of the season.

WELL DONE THE YOUTH.

Only cost me £2, but worth the normal matchday ticket price.

I thought I'd maybe get in free as an ST holder, but still £5 very well spent, (and a fiver on the BoroBurger).

Minor quibble, no team sheets and could've opened another turnstile.

I thought David Luiz' younger brother was decent for them and overall that they were just a bit smarter and managed the game better than us. But our lads did really well and will have learnt loads from the experience.

Whether any are nearly ready physically or good enough for the first team squad...? On that showing maybe the right sided guy (was that the no.5) who I thought was excellent at times. And maybe Andronicus, good movement first half, took his goal well, but did try and win the game on his own a bit too often and faded second half, reminded me of Kennedy at times in that regard.

Our no.8 reminded me of a young Dean Parrett in his style of play. One to watch.

Our no.11 was like a young Tom Pett in his style too. Again, if he can grow the physical side of his game, he has pace and talent.

I am disgusted that you've picked out the same players who stood out as I did above, I thought I knew about football but I guess not :(.

11 was Leslie was it? He amused us when he came on in the HSC at Borehamwood.

Number 5 was probably my stand out last night. Looked to have the build as well.

Yep, Joe Leslie according to my team sheet.

It’s funny you know, but me and my mate thought number 5 struggled somewhat.

He was up against their 'star' player who was a bit cynical in some of his elbow play and grappling, as well as being big, quick and deft on the ball, but he grew into the game and did well second half.

It never usually is so I very much doubt it.

It'll be the main stand, one burger bar and the BHW end turnstiles open, nothing else.
