McKee

Gets better every game and is rapidly becoming our most important midfielder. So good on the ball for someone his age and I can see a club spending much more on him than Kennedy or Newton in the not too distant future

Things have been crap but it's really encouraging to see such high quality players coming through the youth system

McKee hardly touched the ball and I only noticed he was playing when he got subbed
Dreadful player invisible most of the time can’t think why you or anyone else would think otherwise .. but everyone has a right to their opinion but sometimes I struggle to understand 🙄

Invisible?

Wasn't there today but he is a proper quality player with composure and technical ability on the ball, and an aggressive streak when we haven't got the ball.

He was poor at Crawley but overall he is a huge talent for his age.

Take those blinkers off Boycie.

Agree with junction 7
After so much talk I kept my eye on him today
Non existent didn't see him involved in anything
I think he went off with a clean kit
Don't get me wrong he didn't play bad but we have players so much better on the bench than him

Emperor's coat syndrome

Lmao why is that Steve 🤔

I too watched him yesterday he had a few Ray Wilkinsesk touches here and there nothing great as someone says above there are better players on the bench and in the squad ... and he left the pitch with a clean kit and boots!!!

I’ve been on this forum since the beginning was even a moderator at one stage but now every time I or someone else who are not in the little ‘clique’ posts something it always gets slagged off or name calling!

People have different views that’s what a forum is about good bad and indifferent too many people are too quick to jump on people’s backs ... If someone makes a comment about an observation it shouldn’t become a slagging match because not everyone agrees all the time

So I’m doing a paulio flounce and not going to bother with all this shit anymore like Dave Adkins says im a miserable old man and talk shit ... So bollocks and happy new year to you all ... try to play nice and don’t kill each other before the end of the season

Here here, some of us old uns have just as valid a view as much as it may not be the the popular view . I am happy to debate the club I love with anyone but the moment an insult is thrown I will just assume you don't have the necessary grey matter required to back up your point. Baldock and I rarely see eye to eye on anything but because we don't insult each other we have had some brilliant robust conversations despite him of course always being wrong :)

So for once I am agreement with junction 7

I made a point, you disagreed with it, people then put forward their opinions reasonably which you've disagreed with. That's about it and as you've said, it's a forum so surely you'd expect people to disagree and debate?

It’s almost as if Pett is actually a decent player or something...

Feel he’s been under appreciated this season. Just look as his goal tally. Must be close to double figures. Bloody good for a winger (who has mostly been played out of position).

Yeah right on the half way line. Not sure what you were watching but then again I didn't see any of the things you mentioned in the other thread like fighting etc so maybe it's a bit different in the main stand... :)

On the other hand saying he's dreadful is just wrong. MOTM last week and has put in numerous good performances while surrounded by crap in the past few months. He's 18 and has huge potential

Yes Ronnie ripped Franks a new arshole then carried it on during a drinks break 😬

Think Steve Watkins got it spot on on the wireless today before the game when he said if Sarl is going to fill the team with under 21s he needs to get some experienced players in there to guide them

Smith must be the worst Boro player since Agymange
Day don’t play
King kicks a ball and is injured
Henry is slowing down by the week
Whelpdale not even half the player he was
Wilkinson got his own problems at moment bless him

I was talking about NEW experienced players someone like. bostwick or Parrot ect that can grab a game by the bollocks 😜

Our midfield is too weak

No, you were talking about experienced players guiding the youngsters?

My point was we don't lack experience.

We might lack certain qualities but not experience.

I agree about our midfield needing someone with a pair of bollocks to play alongside McKee or Gorman. Not a fan of Smith altho' every now and again he plays a blinder.

But we can't afford someone like Parrett (even with his glass legs) or the ageing Bostwick. Otherwise we would've kept them. We all raved about Charlie Lee but he had long periods of being lethargic and ineffective, as did Tonge and Schumacher. A week-in, week-out 8/10 experienced, cultured lower league central midfielder ain't coming to Stevenage.
