Are the next two matches make or break? I think in many ways they are. 2 good results and I think we'll kick on from the poor 2 months we've had, 2 poor results and possibly the managers job could be under huge scrutiny? Starting with tomorrow, Crawley away, what are people's thoughts?

Considering we haven't won in over 3 months away from home, along with losing our last 7 away matches, maybe tomorrow is finally when we get a result? To get to 33 points by the new year is a very good tally to be on, IMO only means we need 17 more points to definitely stay up. In terms of the match, I really think Darren needs to play a tight midfield, with strength and pace, mixing it up a bit after the loss on Boxing Day. Fraser should definitely come into the backline, with Beautyman and Tom Pett playing but in more comfortable roles rather than out of position and also Chris Whelpdale to add that bit of strength and experience. My team:

Fryer
Ronnie Wilko Fraser Martin
Whelpdale King McKee Beautyman
Pett
Godden

Really looking forward to it, I would take 4 points in the next two, but as everyone knows, a couple of wins in this league can shoot is right up the table. Let's start with tomorrow.

Depends if Crawley put out their first team. If I was a Manager and Stevenage were in town I'd probably rest up some of my first team squad give the kids a chance. We have to be careful because Dazza has already told us that if they get a typical Crawley goal and go 1-0 up then that's it game over.

Their forum reckons 4-1 to them. To be honest I'm not sure there is a molecule in my body that actually cares whether we win or lose. I have been ground down with the total ineptitude shown on the pitch and the confusing messages been handed out from the Management team.

I doubt that we are suddenly likely to see King in CM.
Sides that have a blip but clear ability "kick on". I don't see it happening. If he is not already, then yes, the Manager should be under scrutiny.

Playing Whelpdale and King in midfield doesn’t give us the midfield pace that you talk about.

And we’ve already seen numerous times this season that playing Beautyman wide and Pett in the middle doesn’t work.

And you’ve also left Gorman out....... that won’t happen.

Why are some folk targeting 50 points as some kind of success? We were challenging for the play offs last season. If we finish on 60, say, that's a backwards step.

I think it's because some people are genuinely claiming we will get relegated if Sarll stays. So to get to 50 is about what you need to stay up and the sooner we get that the sooner we can focus on trying to get into the playoffs without having to reassure the petals who think we could get relegated because we're on a bad run of form.

You say don't play people out of position, then put Beautyman wide and Tom Pett in the number 10 slot?

(I am also looking forward to it and would take four points from the next two)

The conversations I’ve had with Tom from knowing him outside of football, his position is a number 10 role. He plays better picking up the ball and running at defences. I feel beautyman adds quality out there.

I always thought my best position was right wing.

My manager thought I was better with a brush, sweeping up orange quarters in the dressing room.
