More chance of the new North stand being built and completed by the end of January then Godden being sold.

I like Godden. He's a good player.

But there is no chance anyone will be in for him in Jan.

actually buzz for players moving up the leagues after coming to us and although I don't think it will happen this window would love to see Godden and Kennedy in the Championship or higher in the next few seasons.

exactly how we position ourselves as a club - good platform for young players, track record of elevating careers and won't stand in anyones way. along with the training ground etc i reckon we're seen as a more progressive option than some of the dinosaurs of the FL

I have a theory on this - DS is expecting he might be forced to sell one of Kennedy and Godden if big offers come in. He thinks Godden is more important to us, so is hawking Kennedy around (see yesterday's Sun, etc.).

Also Godden signed an extended contract so we protected ourselves to an extent earlier in the the season.

Yeah people getting a bit carried away (possibly tongue in cheek). He's started pretty well in his Boro career which means the fans will now love him and hell get a fair crack of the whip to prove himself in the longer term.

Wiki says he was at Scunthorpe for 5 years making 18 appearances and scoring none.

He has the feel of Steve Morison about him. In that this being his second chance having gone down to non league and proven himself there, like Morison did after leaving Northampton.

Other than Walker he's clearly our best striker and seems to have a hunger to succeed. Knows how to finish. Hopefully he'll continue his form and become a better player whilst at us before going onto bigger things.

Seeing them both up front together on Saturday was great. If we can have a sustained run with Walker with Godden up front and Pett and Kenners on the wings then I think we're going to be a force going forward.

Just hope we can keep hold of King. I'd say we played arguably our strongest 11 against Newport and despite them being pretty pony we looked decent.

Agreed. Can't imagine there will be many better 'front 4s' out there in League 2. Schumacher in the middle of it all is pretty key too.

I like the chances of a strong promotion push next season if this season isn't to be.

i think we have a better chance of making the play-offs this season.
there are a few clubs above us at the moment that wont make the play-offs.
even lutan are not consistent enough. a good run -in by any club could then get in the play-offs.

I think the 3 defeats in a row makes it a lot harder now. We've got a bit to catch up and do we have the consistency to win that many more than the teams above us. There's certainly a chance of course.

But after Doncaster we weren't talking up our chances. Since then all we've done is beat a terrible Newport side bottom ofor the league.

Feet grounded. One game at a time and see where we end up. Hopefully in and around the playoffs.

Agree, Newport where woeful, depending on what happens in the loan market will have an impact. I'd like King back but not fussed on the others. Challenging will be a good effort even if we do fall short.

I was shocked we didn't have the "we are going up" chant when we scored the third.

You and your rational, sensible views.

You need to learn how to swing from ecstasy and unshakeable, invincible confidence to utter, utter despair in 90 minutes.

Then you'll be a proper fan.
