I tend to agree...

Logic dictates, whilst looking at the bigger picture and previous track record (mostly guiding us downwards) that this could be a disaster. Last time he was in overall charge / involved at any level (without Evans) we were at the foot of league 2, for multiple seasons, there was a distinct lack of patterns of play and tactical niavity. When looking at the facts overall it doesn't bode well as we are now in league one, which requires a greater level of acumin. Tohave a naive manager that had us consistently near the bottom of league two is a big worry. He almost guided us out of the football league on 2 occasions before the directors actually used their collective brain and he was eventually demoted to actually learn to be a manager.

All the people on here who think this appointment is a good idea will be shown when reality hits and we are in a relegation battle by Christmas.

I really really hope I'm wrong and will be the first to eat humble pie... But, we have to look at the facts. Not all people make good managers and even then if they do it takes a while for them to learn their trade properly. Just Ask Birmingham supporters how they feel now, having appointed a novice manager!

I've been watching Stevenage for 40 years, and to be sensible I won't be renewing my season ticket now after this appointment. I'll come to games on a match by match basis and I hope he will prove me wrong. We were finally starting to actually build something good again and the club were progressing well with attendances. But if others feel the way I do with this appointment then they'll vote with their feet which will be a huge backwards step for the club.

Like I say I hope I'm wrong, I just don't see any evidence as to how a really poor, tactically naive manager who failed massively can turn into a good manager capable of managing a league one side within 2 years.
