I actually went to the game. Wasn’t expecting anything and predicted a 2-0 defeat beforehand. (Wait, what am I saying? I don’t do predictions anymore… and this match showed me why!). Great start by us, and Oxford looked utterly disinterested for the first 20 minutes at least. Could see us scoring more and we really should have - a good six chances were put narrowly wide or screwed up by us in the build-up. Good penalty shout in the final minutes too. Overall we were by far the most dominant - Oxford had a little go back at us in the second half - but on this performance I’d have no fears for our league match against them. Well done Boro, a cracking start to the competition.
