This is going to sound a bit sassy/salty and it’s not supposed to. Something that genuinely intrigues me. I honestly don’t know why you support Stevenage if you’re so desperate to watch free flowing, attacking football. We’ve not been that side for 20 odd years. In fact since the FA Trophy under Stimmo all of our success has been built on pragmatism.

I don’t know what Pidge has done to draw your ire. Sometimes he isn’t as imperious as he always has been but he is the most important man to pull on a Boro jersey since Mark Roberts (I include Ronnie in this). He’s not past it, he’s not lost it. If he’s a step off then there’s nobody I’d back more than him to regain it. But the constant pile on just makes any actual constructive criticism seem like no more than yet another whinge for the sake of having a scapegoat and the opportunity to say “I told you so,” when he does lose it.
