To visit Bradford by rail is absolutely fine - as others have mentioned. The walk up from the main city centre to the ground, by and large, is a straight line with plenty of places to grab a drink. You'll know which places you probably won't want to go in by the volume of home fans. There is also a steady police presence – both His Majesty's Constabulary and Attendance Police(TM).
It's visiting Bradford by road that you want to worry about. I'm pretty sure that 87% of driving licences held in Bradford were gained from a promotional packet of crisps or cereal. Absolute clownshoes on the roads... the ones they aren't digging up.
