I'm a big Dan Phillips fan but he has been poor of late.

I agree that he shouldn't be put in a position where we can't afford him to make a mistake. He isn't the kind of player I want receiving the ball in our half facing his own goal. It is good to see someone comfortable enough to do so, but he often gets himself into difficulty trying to turn so I'd rather we had a proper DM who is more aware of his surroundings and can play out of those situations.

There is definitely a place in this team for a player like Dan Phillips but he isn't being utilised in a way that plays to his strengths. We have different profiles and a number of options in midfield that I feel we need to use more effectively. Louis T and Dan P as the 2 in midfield isn't really working at the moment
