FWIW, our average attendances for the last 20 seasons.

We averaged about 1800-2100 most Conf seasons, about 2800 in L2, about 3,200 in L1 last time around and 4,300 in L1 this time around, so whilst away crowds play a big part in L1, I would say there is also evidence of growth in home numbers (although playing big and "exciting" teams in L1 also massively helps with home numbers). If we were to be relegated in the next couple of seasons I suspect our crowds would be disappointingly small back in L2, barring us doing incredibly well or something mad happening on or off the pitch.
