Given that he’s started every game and played the majority of minutes I don’t think the manager shares the opinion of the fans.

He has a respectable goalscoring record at this level (people really do under appreciate that even 10-15 goal strikers, including penalties, are not ten a penny). That makes him a saleable asset as Balders said. At the same time I don’t think he’s ever tangibly been linked with a move anywhere from here. Our fans suggesting a bigger club may give us loads of money for him notwithstanding.

He’s one of those players who I suspect worked bloody hard to reach the level he did with us at his peak. Arguably he’s scaled higher levels than his talent should reasonably have allowed. We love that here, it’s a Stevenage trait. As a fan who has seen that graft first hand it makes it doubly frustrating to see him seemingly phone it in, strolling around and giving the impression of not really being bothered.
