RE: Who ISN'T watching the World Cup this year?

I've watched every World Cup since 1998 (I was 6 and can't remember a thing other than being weirdly obsessed with the Nigerian team... If I'm even remembering that rightly).

This year I don't know if I can.

The nonsense with the tickets and the fact the US are co-hosting just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I know we had Russia, and I know we had Qatar, but this feels like it's the straw that broke the camel's back.

My decision is made harder because Scotland qualified, and my friend is over from the states on the 17th June and we'll be travelling the Highlands and France until the 24th July. She's not a fan and the Scotland and England kick offs aren't great times.

So yeah I've been saying for months I won't be watching it and as it's got nearer I've started to waver but I think this might be it and I might break a streak of 28 years.

God what I wouldn't give for us to go back to 2002 or 2006.
