I'll just clarify a few things I said.

If Goode stayed I do think he's someone you can build a defence around though he's quite a different player to Pidge.

As for Freestone he's been great but I just don't see him as the sort of leader and psychological presence Pidge is at the back.

Honestly maybe it's too much to expect an exact like-for-like replacement.
