Wish I could post photos on here. I googled ‘capacity of Lamex stadium’ and a Getty Images photo appears with the number 7318 in the top left hand corner. If you look at the Wikipedia entry for Lamex stadium it says it was formerly 6722 until the new North Stand increased it to 7318. If this is incorrect I’m genuinely interested to know where they got the figure from, and what the true figure actually is.
Regarding your second paragraph, you are probably correct. I think of the FA cup game against Newcastle where it seemed impossible to move at all such was the nature of the wedging (I have a photo of that too) whereas this Saturday we were ‘sold out’ but with small areas of visible concrete around us and space to step up or down the levels with ease (relatively speaking - still busy of course but not quite so restrictive).
