Simple answer, we didn't.

I don't know where you got this capacity figure from, but it isn't accurate. And don't know where they would have got it from as we have never announced it. 7228 was the attendance we got against Luton, which at the time was a sellout, and is as close as you could have got to guessing the capacity before yesterday (which still may not have been full capacity as not everybody turned up).

As for the East, our capacity was reduced when we made the EFL as they have more stringent regulations, so previous games in there before 2010 will have been more cramped. And if you are thinking since then, I believe the stewards are now a lot more involved in preventing people filling the walkways and piling into the middle unlike in the earlier FL days, so the overall number in the stand is the same when sold out, but is more evenly spread across the whole length of the stand.
