Second para particularly correct there. I saw Goode a couple of times playing out from the back, look up and give that arm gesture that says ‘who the hell am I supposed to send this to?!’ IIRC he turned back and played it backwards when most of the team were well ahead of him, so he obviously felt nothing was on even when from the stands it looked like a long ball forward was obvious.
