It worked pretty well, no? First half we were easily the better and more attacking side, and should have scored. Second half was more even, and sadly Phillips isn't quite ready for 90mins twice in quick succession and we didn't look as threatening after he went off (a decision I understand and agree with), but got the goal and the win I felt we deserved.
FWIW, today tied Revs with Westley for most home matches managed in League One for the club.
Revs = P38 W17 D11 L10 62pts.
Westley = P38 W13 D9 L16 48pts.
This season = P14 W7 D6 L1 27pts.
Beyond a couple of matches (Burton especially, plus Plymouth) where we blew the lead to draw when we really should have won, I honestly don't think there is much to grumble about with regards to our home performances or results this season, or under Revs since he took charge for the second time, and I truly think if we went at matches much more attacking than we do, it would actually result in us winning fewer points. I think we have the approach pretty much spot on at home for what we are working with, we just need(ed) to be more clinical with the chances we create. Of course some will disagree and think we are boring and should be gung-ho every match, as is your right, but I shall disagree :).
