This is the crux of it. Things go awry and fans demand someone (usually the manager) to be sacked.

But, as you say, who comes in next? If you want Revs gone and Manager A to replace him, don't be surprised when Manager A decides there are better opportunities at bigger clubs with greater resources.

And I'd not suggest that Phil has a perfect tracking of picking a new manager. We're no more likely to get someone new than someone we've had before.

We're also not in immediate danger. I mean, we weren't when we sacked Gary Smith either, but that's by the by.

Bottom line... Change ain't always good, the grass ain't always greener and that fella from Boreham Wood isn't going to want to come in.
