I feel like people need. To stop using how we were playing months ago as a defence for how we're playing now. We had our best ever start but that ended months ago and what has followed has seen us start to drop.

Are we going to continue to use that start as a shield from any criticism for the whole season? How far do we have to drop before certain people will stop saying we're competing with the top teams?

I've said a mid-table finish would be great for a team of our size.

As for that quip about Championship regs, we were having an interesting hypothetical conversation.

Go back and look how multiple times I kept saying it was too early for us to start talking concretely about us going up.

The regs conversations.were more about the general direction and growth of the club whether it were next season or ten seasons from now so don't read into them too much.
