But we're not really competing anymore are we. We had an astonishing start but we've been sussed quickly the moment we've started playing the tougher games. We're a mid-table side and that's fine if we'd not handed an unprecedentedly long contract to Revell.

I'm under no illusions about our resources but we keep having these colossal drop offs. The issue this season is it happened after about 10 games rather than halfway through the season.

Mid-table isn't an awful place to be for a club like us, but don't say we're competing with the top teams because right now, barring the home win against Luton, and the away win against Stockport we haven't. We've played 10 games against the top 10 (with Bolton being the only team we've not played). We've got 10pts from those 10 games and if you narrow it down to teams in the playoff places and higher it's 6pts from 7 games.

We're not competing for promotion right now.
