Some of you had already come to the conclusion Pidge was a club legend and speaking of him in the same breath as Robbo. It's taken me a little longer but I am now happy to do so.

Seeing a lot more behind the scenes this season through our social media output has helped this.

I think it was Freeman who said in today's video if he could be any player for the day he would be Pidge because he absolutely runs the place and wants some of that power.

This confirms Pidge is that player who bridges the gap between players and management. A captain who demands the highest of standards of everyone, but one that the players respect and are comfortable with as "one of the lads. A player the manager can trust to carry out his instructions and direction.

He embodies what Stevenage (of the past two decades) is all about and raises the standards of everyone in terms of attitude and professionalism.

He has played a large number of games now, almost ever present and a true leader of men. Body on the line and gives nothing less than everything.

So after this, his 4th season, I will be giving him legend status. Comparable to the great Robbo.
