Yes Geo W King a big engineering company on the other side of the rail track opposite the ground.

Saw my first Stevenage game there in late 50s - we lost something like 0-6 !

The old London Road of course was the Great North Road i.e. the A1 as we know it.

There was a lodging house there where my father stayed while waiting for a Corporation house to allow us to then move up from London.
