Very close. The ground in the picture doesn’t quite touch where the police station is now. It is the railway station southern car park (possibly part of the police station car park), Lytton Way, and the new bus station. The access road behind the new bus station that passes behind the leisure centre is the old London Rd, that in this picture runs up against the East Stand. When you drive north along Lytton Way from the police station you’re driving through the middle of the old pitch!
