I think it is lack of starts and run in the team. How many games in a row has he started, for example. Difficult for a striker to get any sort of form like that.

And when he has played it's generally been left side, which probably isn't his preferred position, or a position where you can make as big an impact.

It is what it is though. We don't know if he'd have been any better or worse.
